In-House Courses

We are the preferred in-house training provider for many of our larger members, including key pharmaceutical, biomedical, educational and consultancy businesses within the Cambridge ecosystem.

You can request any training course to run in-house, tailored to your organisation’s specific requirements. This is a cost-effective and timely solution for companies wanting to train several staff.

Courses are available globally, both online and face-to-face. We have delivered training programmes across the UK and Europe, as well as further afield.

We match you with the ideal facilitator from our extensive pool of experienced trainers, helping to optimise the outcomes for your organisation from every course.

Long term programmes

We run long-term training programmes within many of our larger member organisations, tailored to their specific learning needs based on insights gathered from their HR teams. The process often begins with selecting relevant core courses, as found on our website, which serve as a foundation for building their customised training plans. These programmes are further enhanced with bespoke modules designed to align with the organisation’s unique culture, values, and processes.

Many organisations choose to structure their internal training into two parallel tracks - general soft skills development and management training, running side by side throughout the year. Below, you'll find a list of the most commonly chosen module topics.

Bespoke Programme Case Study: Mental Health for Managers

The Situation
The HR team at a life science institute sent out a survey to all managers asking them what they viewed as learning and development priorities for the organisation. Training to support the managers themselves with their mental health, as well as the mental health of their team, was listed in the top three concerns. The HR Manager contacted Cambridge Network to see if we could help.

The Solution
From our team of experienced facilitators, we connected the organisation with a specialist mental health and resilience trainer. She created a bespoke programme to help managers improve their understanding of mental health, grow their own resilience skills, and learn how to support staff when their mental health was challenged. The course consisted of 6 bite sized modules, each lasting 2 hours, designed to fit in with the time pressures faced by this primarily lab-based group.

A modular approach was applied, with pre- and post-session activities, to embed learning and emphasise practical application. One-on-one coaching sessions were incorporated into the programme to give delegates time to focus on their own individual challenges and maintain learning momentum.

Based on experience with similar projects, a two-facilitator delivery team was utilised throughout the modules. Using two trainers with different but complementary learning styles, skills and experience helped maintain engagement throughout the programme and enhanced overall learning impact.
